And Jesus said to the centurion , Go . As you have believed , so be it done to you . And his servant was healed in that hour.

Then the chief captain took him by the hand , and went with him aside privately , and asked him, What is that thou hast to tell me ?

And Paul sent for a captain and said , Take this young man to your chief , for he has news for him .

于是把他领去见千夫长说，被囚的保罗请我到他那里，求我领这少年人来见你。他有事告诉你。

The centurion, seeing what had happened , praised God and said, "Surely this was a righteous man . "

百夫长看见所成的事，就归荣耀与神，说：“这真是个义人！”

And when he heard of Jesus , he sent unto him the elders of the Jews , beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant .

百夫长风闻耶稣的事，就托犹太人的几个长老，去求耶稣来救他的仆人。

15

Then the chief captain came , and said unto him, Tell me, art thou a Roman ? He said, Yea.

千夫长就来问保罗说，你告诉我，你是罗马人吗。保罗说，是。

16

Then Jesus said to the centurion , "Go ! It will be done just as you believed it would . " And his servant was healed at that very hour.

耶稣对百夫长说，你回去吧。照你的信心，给你成全了。那时，他的仆人就好了。

And the commander answered , With a large sum of money I acquired this citizenship . And Paul said , But I was even born a Roman .

千夫长回答说，我用许多银子，才取得这公民权。保罗说，我生来就是。

And an opportune day came , when Herod on his birthday made a banquet for his courtiers and the commanders and the leading men of Galilee .

有一天，机会来了。希律在他的生日，为他的大臣和千夫长，并加利利的首领，摆设筵席。

Which the centurion hearing , went to the tribune, and told him, saying : What art thou about to do ? For this man is a Roman citizen.

百夫长听了，就来到千夫长前报告说：「你可怎么办？这个人是罗马人！」

So the chief captain then let the young man depart , and charged him , See thou tell no man that thou hast shewed these things to me .

于是千夫长打发少年人走，嘱咐他说，不要告诉人你将这事报告我了。

Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers , Except these abide in the ship , ye cannot be saved .

保罗对百夫长和兵丁说，这些人若不等在船上，你们必不能得救。

And a certain centurion 's slave , who was highly valued by him, was ill and about to die .

有一个百夫长所宝贵的奴仆，患病快要死了。

And Paul called one of the centurions to him and said , Bring this young man to the commander , for he has something to report to him .

保罗请一个百夫长来，说，你带这青年人到千夫长那里，他有事要告诉他。

And the chief captain answered, With a great sum obtained I this freedom . And Paul said , But I was free born .

千夫长说，我用许多银子，才入了罗马的民藉。保罗说，我生来就是。
